SUMMARY:
The Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for providing a welcoming and safe environment for all ECHO network members, volunteers, and guests by overseeing the hospitality services for the ECHO North America Impact Center (NAIC). This position manages the cleaning of campus buildings and coordinates housing, food, and services for on-campus guests and events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning
  1. Manage cleaning contracts for campus buildings.
  2. Train, coach, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff and volunteers.
  3. Ensure that all buildings are cleaned and properly stocked.
  4. Complete regular inspections of buildings for cleanliness and safety, submitting maintenance requests as necessary for repairs.
  5. Ensure that laundry is washed after use.
  6. Ensure housing is reset after each guest departs.
  7. Oversee, organize, and maintain inventories of supplies and furnishings.
Food Service
  1. Organize meals for conferences, classes, workshops, board meetings, and special events. This may require occasional work outside normal business hours.
  2. Help with logistics and planning of lunch events including ordering food and set-up.
  3. Oversee, organize, and maintain inventories of supplies. Ordering coffee, tea and water.
  4. Provide appreciation meals and snacks for work teams or special guests when appropriate.
  5. Ensure that cooking facilities are safe, stocked, and properly cleaned and maintained.­­­
Administration
  1. Maintain housing requests, scheduling, and invoicing for upcoming guests.
  2. Ensure that guests are welcomed to campus. This requires occasional work outside normal business hours.
  3. Occasional airport pick-up to help the Learning and Logistics department.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education preferred.
  2. Experience in coordinating meal preparation and/or catering for groups.
  3. Experience in the cleaning and/or hospitality industries is a plus.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
This position supervises cleaning staff/contracted cleaning services and all volunteers. Works with Volunteer and Media Coordinator as well as Extensions Team Leader to schedule housing for teams and trainings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions and occasional outdoor interaction with staff are. The noise and activity level in the work environment is moderately quiet; however, at times the environment can become harried due to unexpected urgent projects and deadline demands. Must have a temperament to work constructively under pressure situations, and make volunteers and guests feel welcomed, heard, and part of ECHO’s mission.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Fine motor skills such as typing, the use of a computer mouse and telephone handset are required. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a part-time position. Approximately 20 hours per week, with typical hours falling within Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Specific days and times are flexible and will be determined based on employee availability and departmental needs.

TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day.
